I have antique furniture to sell.?
I have antique furniture to sell. I don’t want to go Ebay. This is 1920–1940 era. It’s beautiful. I had it appriased about 3 years ago and the guy told me it would sell for around $5,000. There is 5 peices. The beauty of it is that the foot board is a carved swan. It has a big dresser (vaneer). I would love to sell it to an establishment that would be able to display it. Any suggestions??? Oh, yea the bed is a twin size. The chair (cushion) is made of some bark from Japan. They quit making it back in 1940.
Hi.
Have an appraiser come your home and value your furniture making sure you are asking the right price.
Who knows, it could be worth more than your asking price of $5,000.00.
I own anantique mall here in North Carolina where I rent out spaces for members to sell their antique furniture and glassware.
Some suggestions I have are,
Call your local antique stores and dealers asking if they may be interested in purchasing your furniture.
Put an ad in your local “Penny Saver”, and “For Sale” section in the newspaper.
You will be surprised how many responses you recieve.
Helpful hint:
DO NOT let any antique dealer talk you into letting them have the furniture for less than what you are selling it for.
They will raise the price as much as 75% when re-selling it at a flea market, antiques show, or trade show.
Good luck!
